Adam's Surgery...

Let me tell you all a little story... When Adam was 17, he was coming home from work. He worked at Fosters Steak House up in Bryce Canyon. He was getting a ride home from a friend. They were coming down the mountain in a Geo Metro.... And one of the turns was a little much for the car. They rolled the car, and amazingly they walked away from it. (I'm pretty sure Adam is invincible at this point..) So, the years go by, and Adam can feel that there is a rock, or piece of glass, SOMETHING, in his elbow. And it keeps moving around. Finally it moves to a spot where if he rests his elbow on anything it hurts. So, I called and made an appointment with the doctor. I told them that we needed an appointment to get whatever it is out of his arm. They made the appointment for 2 weeks later, then they called the next week and said that the doc won't be there that day, so they have to move the appointment a week. WE go in for the appointment, and do they take the thing out?? OH NO!!! Adam has to wait another MONTH!! Cause that is the soonest that he has enough time to do it.... What the.... In any case, the piece of glass, as we found out that it was, is now out. Apparently a calcium deposit pocket had formed around the glass, so it wasn't easy to get it all out. Needless to say, Adam's arm hurts real bad. He got 4 stitches, and a huge bruise. Here are some pictures in case you want to see it. :)

Here are his fun stitches. You can't see it very well in the picture, but he's got a nice bruise that goes with it... It's a deep one...
Here is the piece of glass that was in his arm, and just so you can see it to scale below it's next to a quarter. :)
And to think that you can live with a piece of glass in your arm for 8 years and not get any sort of infection or anything.... WEIRD!!

You are the only person that could tell this type of story and I don't find it strange, or wierd...:)
